The Arkansas Razorbacks improved to 2-0 on the year with a 15-5 victory over the James Madison Dukes inside Baum-Walker Stadium.
Brady Tygart delivered five strong innings on the mound to pick up his first win of the season, and Koty Frank earned the save by retiring all seven hitters he faced after facing the tying run when he entered the game in the sixth inning.
Offensively, Ty Wilmsmeyer led the way with three hits and a career-high five RBI while hitting his first home run of the season. All nine starters in the Arkansas lineup recorded at least one hit while Peyton Holt, Ben McLaughlin and Hudson White provided two each.

1st Inning
- Brady Tygart hits Dunaway in the head with the third pitch he throws, and the Dukes have a leadoff baserunner. We are officially underway.

- Dunaway tries to steal third for whatever reason, and the freshman Ryder Helfrick (making his first career start behind the plate for Arkansas) throws him out for the second out of the inning.

- The first hit of the game belongs to Ryan Dooley, who singles sharply past the glove of Aloy up the middle to give the Dukes another leadoff baserunner.
- Another sacrifice bunt is laid down by the Dukes as Calabrese pokes one to Sprague-Lott, who fires to first as Dooley moves to second base.
- O’Donnell grounds one softly to Sprague-Lott for the second out, and Steinberg grounds out to Aloy at shortstop to end the frame. JMU 2nd: 0 Runs, 1 Hit, 0 Walks, 0 Errors
- After Helfrick fouled out to right field to start the home half, Peyton Holt rips a single through the right side for Arkansas’ first hit.

- Schiavone skies the first pitch of the inning to shallow right for an out, and then Tygart collects his first strikeout on an 0-2 changeup swung on and missed by Peifer.
- On a 3-2 count with two down, Dunaway is hit in the head by a Tygart pitch for the second time today to extend the frame.

- Arkansas 1, James Madison 0: Missouri transfer Ty Wilmsmeyer goes the other way and lifts an opposite-field home run just over the wall in right-center. The solo home run, his first as a Razorback, traveled 369 feet and was hit 100 MPH off the bat.

4th Inning
- Trimble flies out to center field to start the inning, then Dooley follows him with his second hit of the day on a liner to left field.
- With one on and one out, Tygart hits Calabrese with a pitch to move Dooley into scoring position.
- After O’Donnell popped up to third for the second out, a five-pitch walk to Steinberg loads the bases. Arkansas pitching coach Matt Hobbs is out for a visit with Tygart.
- Arkansas 1, James Madison 1: Tygart can’t find the zone on a 3-1 pitch and walks Schiavone to bring in a run and tie the game. Bases remain juiced.

- Dunaway can’t come up with the routine grounder hit to him by Holt. The Razorbacks now have one on and one out as James Madison goes to the bullpen and brings in RHP Sean Culkin to pitch.
- Will Edmunson rips a single 102 MPH up the middle for a single, and Holt goes first to third. Hogs at the corners now with one away.

- Ben McLaughlin leads off the bottom half with a 3-2 blooper that drops for a hit in left field for the Hogs.
- Helfrick is walked on four pitches to put runners on first and second with one away.
- Holt pops one up on the infield for the first out, and Edmunson lines one to left field for a well-hit second out.
- Sprague-Lott works a six-pitch walk to load the bases and extend the inning.
