Quincey McAdoo has medically retired from football.
The Clarendon native made the announcement Thursday afternoon in a post to his social media account.
“I’m at a loss for words on how blessed I am to become a part of something so special,” McAdoo wrote in part. “Unfortunately, because of health reasons I am publicly announcing my medical retirement. I want to give a special thanks to my family and community for not letting me lose myself throughout this whole process.
“Your everlasting love is my drive to be who I am today. Without you and the man above, none of this would be possible.”

The former defensive back played one season for the Razorbacks in 2022. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after transitioning from wide receiver to defensive back.
McAdoo in 2022 finished with 30 tackles, 4 pass breakups, 2 interceptions and 1 blocked punt in 9 games played. He finished with a career-best nine stops in the team’s Liberty Bowl win over Kansas.
McAdoo was expected to be a mainstay in Arkansas’ secondary the following season, but a car wreck in May 2023 resulted in an injury to his vertebrae. He did not play for the Razorbacks last season.
“To my teammates and brothers I’ve made along the way, you will always be a part of me,” McAdoo added. “The memories and fun we shared will never be forgotten or taken for granted.
“To my coaches I want to say thank you for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to experience my lifelong dream.”
