Josh Cohen flips transfer commitment to USC

Arkansas men’s basketball transfer commit Josh Cohen has flipped his pledge to USC and will follow Eric Musselman to the Trojans.

Earlier on Thursday, news officially broke that the Muss Bus would be headed out to the West Coast, and Cohen’s announcement came early that evening.

Arkansas now enters a pivotal coaching search with only Tramon Mark and Trevon Brazile remaining as scholarship returners alongside freshman signees Isaiah Elohim and Jalen Shelley.

Cohen made his commitment to the Hogs on March 29th after an official visit on March 27th, where he was ecstatic about the program and passionate fanbase Arkansas has founded.

In his one season with the University of Massachusetts Minutemen, the 6-10 forward recorded averages of 15.9 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game on shooting splits of 54.4% from the floor, 34.4% from three-point range and 69.6% from the foul stripe.

After he visited with Coach Musselman and the Razorbacks, Cohen hosted an official visit with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Josh will have one year left of eligibility after spending three years with St. Francis and one with UMass and will choose to end his collegiate career elsewhere.

  1. Musselman has been working the portal for 3 weeks on Arkansas’s dime knowing that he wouldn’t be back for next year, now he takes all that work with him to USC

    1. Agree, he’s been working the portal for his next coaching stop, which we now know it’s USC
