Isaiah Elohim requests release from LOI with Arkansas

Arkansas basketball incoming freshman signee Isaiah Elohim has requested a release from his signed National Letter of Intent with the Razorbacks and will reopen his recruitment.

Elohim’s departure leaves the Hoop Hogs with zero scholarship players on the projected roster for 2024-25.

The news comes on the heels of Eric Musselman departing Fayetteville for the head coaching position at USC. Kentucky’s John Calipari is finalizing a deal to take over at the helm in Fayetteville.

Elohim was the top commitment in the 2024 high school class for the Hoop Hogs, announcing his pledge to Arkansas on Oct. 5 over a list of finalists that included Kansas and Villanova.

The 6-5 wing out of Chatsworth (Cali.) starred in the backcourt for powerhouse high school program Sierra Canyon.

According to industry rankings at On3.com, Elohim is a four-star prospect and the No. 46 overall player in the 2024 class.
