Arkansas sophomore running back Isaiah Augustave has announced his plans to enter the transfer portal following Saturday’s Red-White Spring Game inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
“First and foremost I want to thank Coach Pittman and the rest of the coaching staff for blessing me with the opportunity to play the game I love,” he wrote in a post to his X account.
“Thank you to all my teammates, I’m very grateful for the time I’ve spent with you all.
“After long conversations with my family, I would like to announce that I am officially entering my name into the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left.
“It’s time to do what’s best for me. Thank you Hog Nation!”
During Saturday afternoon’s spring game, Augustave recorded seven carries for 10 yards. He primarily worked with the second-team offense throughout spring practices while Utah transfer Ja’Quinden Jackson and junior Rashod Dubinion rotated with the ones.
Augustave, a former 4-star prospect out of Naples, Fla., ran for 202 yards and 1 touchdown on 35 attempts as a true freshman during the 2023 season.
He came on strong late in the season with a 14-carry, 101-yard performance against FIU before rushing 15 times for 80 yards and 1 touchdown in the season finale against Missouri.
