Arkansas basketball and head coach John Calipari will host a pair of priority targets for official visits beginning Wednesday.
Sources confirm initial reports by On3.com that Class of 2024 five-star, McDonald’s All-American guard Boogie Fland and four-star wing Billy Richmond will make the trek to Fayetteville, their first visits since decommitting from Kentucky earlier in the month.
The 6-2, 170-pound lead guard out of Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) High School is ranked as a five-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals and has a track record as one of the most productive backcourt prospects in his class.
He averaged 19.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game this past season and scored 17 points with a trio of three-pointers in the McDonald’s All-American Game. Fland also took part in the prestigious Nike Hoops Summit and Jordan Brand Classic.
Richmond — a 6-6 lefty wing from Memphis — is considered the No. 24 player in the 2024 class by On3.com’s industry ranking. He is rated the No. 9 small forward in the country.
He is rated as a four-star prospect by On3 and played his senior season at Camden High School in New Jersey. Richmond also participated in the Jordan Brand Classic last weekend at the Barclays Center.
Calipari hopes to make Fland and Richmond the next set of flips from his previously No. 2-ranked signing class from Kentucky, joining fellow McDonald’s All-American Karter Knox, who committed to the Razorbacks on Monday.
