Hey BBN, Move On

Alright Kentucky Basketball fans. You all need to get over it.

John Calipari is the head coach of Arkansas. He left you all behind to go to a better situation here in Fayetteville. Razorback Basketball is in a better spot than Kentucky Basketball moving forward due to their incredible NIL setup & excitement surrounding the program.

Move on. He dumped you for a younger, sexier situation. One that’s full of energy, enthusiasm, support, appreciation, and most importantly, money.

I understand why you’re all bitter about him leaving though. I would be too if I was a part of #BBN. Especially since you settled for your 8th choice of a coach, Mark Pope. A guy who hasn’t even won an NCAA Tournament game.

“Oh, but John you moron, he’s a WILDCAT! He was on that 1996 Championship team that was one of the best college basketball teams of all time!”

You mean a title that was so long ago that literally no player in college basketball was even born yet when it happened? Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. There’s no way this guy fails as a head coach of a blue blooded program filled with insane, pompous, and insufferable douchers that cannot grasp the current state of CBB with NIL & the transfer portal.

“Oh, but John you idiot, he’s a better X’s & O’s coach than Cal! Once he gets his elite players in he will take KY back to the promised land!”

I am sure he is! Many people said the same thing about Chad Morris here at Arkansas when he was hired…and when Billy Clyde Gillespie was hired there. The man was a coach at BYU where the most fun you can have past 9pm is soaking with your future spouse that was decided for you before you were born. 

You think that potential players give two rips about the perceived “aura” of Kentucky Basketball? Not at all. You know what they DO care about? NIL, getting to the league, & winning titles. Something that Arkansas has a ton of, a coach that is the best at it, & all the ingredients to win it all.

I love my friend Bobby Reagan over at Barstool Sports. Luckily I get to hate him again now that Cal is a Hog. His posts about Arkansas are prime examples of the obsession BBN has over Cal leaving for a better spot.

The local Kentucky media may be the funniest thing in this whole saga. These people were PISSED when they had to settle for Mark Pope instead of Scott Drew, Danny Hurley, & Billy Donavan… 

…Until about 5 minutes later when they talked themselves into how AMAZING of a hire it was because they had no other choice but to accept it. An embarrassing showing in their coaching search where they felt they could get a rock star hire & instead ended up with a coach the vast majority of CBB fans didn’t even know existed.

It was reported that there were KY fans CRYING at his press conference. How pathetic can you be? I knew BBN was out of touch with reality, but that was hilariously impressive. 

KY fans were RAGING behind a mask of all smiles & excitement. They don’t want anyone to think that they are ashamed or scared that they lost their Naismith Hall of Fame coach to an Arkansas program that’s getting more attention than them. 

Don’t worry Cat fans, we all know you’re down bad. But just accept the inevitable truth that you’re not what you used to be. You’re old news. You’ve lived in a fantasy world for too long thinking that Kentucky made Calipari when in reality HE made YOU relevant again.

Get over it. Stop hating on your ex that left you for a better deal. They blocked your number, they already have forgotten about you, they are happier than they have ever been before.
